My eggs were cooked just the way I like them: not runny at all, but not dried out and like leather. The food came fairly quickly, especially considering that every table was full, and most of the seats at the bar were occupied. Our son got two scrambled eggs and toast. My husband got two eggs over medium, ham, and toast. I got scrambled eggs and blueberry pancakes. I don't grudge the waitron unit the chance to spend a few minutes of down time if there's no food or coffee that has to be delivered.
At one point, it seemed like she was just standing there chatting with another employee, but you can see where the food is placed when ready for pick-up and there was no food there. She kept us supplied with water and coffee.
We asked the hotel staff person where we could get a good breakfast, and she recommended the West Side Diner, telling us it is owned and operated by a Grayling native.
